EMFREX GLOBAL Version 3 is the proprietary e-commerce Shipping System of Emerald Freight Express.

EMFREX GLOBAL has been designed to facilitate Customers with dispatch and delivery of packages across the Globe, in a streamlined and integrated fashion, in full compliance with customs regulations.

EMFREX GLOBAL is a Web Based Application, which can be downloaded by a customer at short notice, once we have agreed on a rate Price List and Credit Terms.

Q 1.How much does the Emfrex System cost the customer ?

The Emfrex software will be supplied to customers free of charge, based on a
mutual agreement to commence business with Emerald Freight Express from an agreed date in the near future.

Q 2.What about the label printer ?

If you don’t have a compatible label printer the model which we recommend for
the Emfrex application will cost you €375.00 + VAT.

Q 3. What about the labels ?

The labels will cost you €27.10 for a roll of 700 labels,
= unit cost €0.04 per label.

Q 4. What are the main Value Added Features of Emfrex ?

(a)Emfrex can be installed to merge with your existing IT back office system to
Import data and eliminate double data entry.
(b)Emfrex produces a 321 Manifest for U.S. Customs purposes, you can also produce a Commercial Invoice for Customs and several other useful Documents as may be required.
(c)Emfrex will instantly give you the UPS / FedEx Tracking Numbers for each package at the point of sale, so you can furnish the Tracking Number to your Overseas Customer.
(d)Emfrex will produce an adhesive address label for each package to include the UPS / FedEx Tracking Number and corresponding barcode.
(e)Emfrex has a hyperlink to the UPS / FedEx Tracking websites, which enables
you to have instant proof of delivery on your packages

Q 5. How can Emfrex help to enhance relations with our Overseas Customers ?

If you want to be pro-active with your Overseas Customers to build a
relationship and customer loyalty, leading to future repeat orders, you can simply
copy and paste the UPS / FedEx Tracking Number from Emfrex to include a
customised e-mail message and systematically send to each of your customers, as
you wish.

The main benefits of this interaction could be, for example:
* A Thank You for the Order.
* Order dispatched confirmation on February 21st 2007.
* UPS / FedEx Package Tracking Number ABCD ……..or 1234 …..
* Projected Delivery February 26th 2007.
* Greetings for St. Patrick’s Day / Thanksgiving / Christmas.
* Draw attention to forthcoming promotions on your website or catalogue, for St. Patrick’s / Thanksgiving /Christmas.

Q 6. Has Emfrex been tried & tested by other Shippers ?

Yes, Emfrex is being used by 5 of our customers:

Q 7. Is Emfrex a stand alone system or can Emfrex be installed to integrate with
our back office system ?

You can use Emfrex as a stand alone system or as an integrated application on
your existing back office system. Or if you are selling products on your website you can simply import the data from website to EMFREX GLOBAL at the push of a button.

By integrating Emfrex you can avoid double data entry, which is obviously a big advantage. When Emfrex is integrated you can simply Import the data from your back office system, at the press of a button.

Q 8. Are there any commodity exceptions to using the Route 321 Duty Free
System ?

The only notable exceptions are Alcohol, Tobacco and Perfumes and for
different reasons Foodstuffs should not be sent as part of a Consolidated shipment. Please contact us for further clarification on this question.

Q 9. How does the information flow on Emfrex ?
Electronic Transfer by e-mail as a CSV file.

Q 11. Can the customer arrange Insurance with Emerald Freight Express ?

Yes, in fact Insurance is inclusive up to a value of USD $200.00 per package,
optional and additional Insurance can be arranged at 1% of the Declared Value.
Certain High Value items will require special insurance cover at higher
Premiums. Please contact us for more information or clarification on this
Subject.

Q 12. What day would Emerald, Pick Up from the customer ?

Typically each Thursday, up to 3pm in the afternoon, however collection arrangements can be tailored to your needs, as required depending on your location and the volume of your traffic.


Q 13. How frequently do you operate scheduled service to the U.S.A. & beyond ?

(a). Our Air Freight Consolidations are scheduled to depart every Saturday
(closing on Friday evening) and from July onward, we also depart
each Wednesday (closing Tuesday evening).

(b). Our Services to Europe and Rest of World are scheduled to depart daily,
Monday – Friday, in association with FedEx.

Q 14. Which Carriers do Emerald Freight use ?

(a). Aer Lingus Cargo, Direct Daily Service to New York / JFK.
(b). UPS or Fedex ground service – For Regular Domestic US Distribution.
(c). FedEx – For Premium Service to U.S.A. and Worldwide.

Q 16. What price will Emerald Freight Express offer us, Door to Door ?

The following is an indicative Door to Door rate per kilo, based on our regular price list (Ireland - USA):

Euro €4.95 per kilo. (Alaska & Hawaii subject to a surcharge of Euro €1.00 per kilo).

*All discounting is volume driven, much the same as any other business. Therefore, we can offer and negotiate with any new potential customers a level of discount from our regular price list, based on the number of packages you shipped in 2006. All rates are negotiable and subject to mutual agreement. Our credit terms on application are strictly 30 days nett.
Q 17. Can you give us a practical example of your Door to Door costs based on your regular price list, on a typical package going to the USA?

Yes, here are the costing examples:
AIR FREIGHT COSTING EXAMPLE:
AIR FREIGHT COSTING EXAMPLE: 1 Box / 2.5 Kgs, Dims 30 X 26 X 38 Cms = 4.94 Kilos (volumetric). For delivery to Anaheim, Los Angeles, CA 92800. 5 Kgs volumetric @ €4.95 per kilo = €24.75 Door to Door. Air Freight Price includes the following costs: Local Pick Up from your Door. Insurance up to a value of USD $200.00. Air Freight Dublin - New York. Export Airline Terminal Handling. Export Customs Documentation. Import Customs Brokerage - JFK. Handling & Reforwarding Costs. Aviation Fuel Surcharge @€0. 60 per kilo.
War Risk Insurance @ €0.15 per kilo
Airline X Ray screening @ €0.10 per kilo
UPS Delivery costs - Ground Service
Agency & Attendance Fee.

We encourage our Shippers to consolidate shipments on a weekly or twice monthly basis, to ensure best value for money.

Please note, our Minimum Charge for the Pick Up and Door-to-Door Delivery on a single package / shipment weighing up to 12Kgs is €60.00.

Dims not exceeding 60 X 40 X 30 Cms.

All rates effective from May 15th 2007.

Delivery Rates for UK, Europe & Rest of World available on request.

Q 18. How do you calculate Airline Volumetric Chargeable Weight ?.


Lets assume the actual gross weight of this box is 2.5 Kilos. The box measures 30 X 26 X 38cms.
Which is 29640 centimetres cubed.
Divide this figure by the Airline Cubic Allowance Factor of 6,000 cubic centimetres = 4.94 Kilos. In this instance the Air Freight charges will be based on 5 Kilos.
Q 19. How would you handle Packages for the U.S.A. when the Declared Value exceeds USD $200.00 and US Import Customs Duties apply.

These packages cannot be Routed on Section 321 for Duty Free Entry
to the U.S.A.

EMFREX GLOBAL will produce a separate Manifest for packages over $200.00.

These packages will be routed on our Formal Entry Manifest, which means the Import Customs Duty will be paid to U.S. Customs on your behalf and billed to your account.

Q 22. What happens if a package is refused or the customer has
moved address ?

The package will be returned to our Handling Agents Terminal
In New York, Sydney or Tokyo and you will be promptly notified of the non delivery.

Q 23(A) Can you handle packages going to a P.O. Box address ?

Yes we can, but we would like to have the consignees phone number
or e-mail address to co-ordinate delivery, for everyone’s convenience.

Q. Question 23 (B). Can you deliver packages to Military Bases (Army / Navy /
Air Force) in the USA ?

No, we are not permitted to deliver packages to these type of
addresses, due to security restrictions.

Emfrex ?

Q 25. How do you propose to install Emfrex with new customers ?

As soon as we have agreed Terms, we’ll furnish you with a Security PIN Number and you can then proceed to download Emfrex from our Website.
Q 26. How does Emerald Freight Express manage the circulation of UPS &
FedEx Tracking Numbers to the various Shippers here in Ireland ?

Our Web Based Database will Host all the Tracking Numbers and these will
be assigned to your packages instantly as you process your shipments for
Dispatch.
